As Christians we tend to say "I am so Blessed", but do we really know what that means? So this week while I was spending time with the Lord I Looked up the meaning ans this is what i discovered.

To be blessed means:To be empowered to prosper as a result of having God's favor bestowed upon your life.

Wow That just puts a whole lot of things into perspective for me. I love our children more than life itself and I always say that they are a blessing to me (us)but knowing now what to be blessed really means just makes me realize why they were given to us. If being blessed means to be empowered to prosper than that is what my children have been given to me for .... to empower me and to prosper me. I believe that they do just that. God gave them to us for a reason.

In a world where children are sometimes seen as something that hold you down or keeps you from yours dreams, I just pray that as you go about your life .. remember the blessing your children are and that they are meant to Empower you to do the Work of the the Lord.
